CeRPHAAL, Regional Education Office of Përmet, and “Sami Frashëri” high school visiting the Vlahos dwelling. The guided tour was joined by one of the elderly people of the Vlahos community, who through his stories, encouraged children’s curiosity on various aspects of the past ways of life of this Upper Vjosa Valley historic nomadic community.

 

On December the 2nd, UNIPD has conducted a historical cartography lab for the study of the cultural landscapes of the Euganean Hills with the students of IIS Euganeo of Este city. In the fantastic etnographic Museum of Stanghella we analyzed the land use of the nineteenth century, we discovered the large map of the lands reclamation to Gozon river and made some interviews with students to understand what it means landscape for them.

CeRPHAAL, Regional Education Office of Përmet, and “Nonda Bulka” elementary school organizing an educative site visit at the Vlahos dwelling. During the visit, children learned about the construction elements and technique of the dwelling as well as on various aspects of the past life of this historic nomadic community of the Upper Vjosa Valley.

The October 26, the UNIPD partner has conducted a laboratory of landscape archaeology through the techniques of Remote Sensing (aerial photo, LiDAR) with the students of the IIS Euganeo at Este. In the lab the students have known the usefulness of the images from remote sensing techniques for the study of cultural landscapes.

Students of Marquesado del Zenete High School (Alquife, Granada) visit their Cultural Landscapes with the president of the local irrigators community.

The elderly pass their knowledge about cultural landscape management to students of different educational levels in the study area of Sierra Nevada.
