MEMOLA project and the “Centre of Albanological-Balkanological Studies” (CABS), represented by Prof. Ylli Cerova, have signed a collaboration agreement, to work together in the archaeological and ethno-archaeological research activities in the study area of the territory of the Upper Part of the Vjosa Valley, Përmet. This collaboration includes an internship program for students to participate during the research field work.

Dr. Ignacio Temiño Rodriguez, executive director of CAC is a specialist in Public and Community Archaeology. His role as an advisor for the MEMOLA project involves reflecting on the meaning of community participation and local involvement in a research project. Dr. Temiño also participates as thesis director for archaeology students from Universidad de Granada, developing their research with the MEMOLA outreach team.

Local Irrigators Communities have a key role for the protection and defense of the traditional irrigation systems (acequias) in the area study of Sierra Nevada. Their knowledge of traditional water management and its relation with the maintenance of the cultural landscape is crucial for the analysis of current and historical land uses and the assessment of ecosystem services and sustainability in the area.This collaboration will also help with exploring the potential social and economic impacts of the research outputs.

Con-sumo Cuidado is a local agro-ecological enterprise dedicated to the promotion and selling of local organic and Fair Trade products. This organization has provided technical support to the Traditional Irrigation Communities in Sierra Nevada, for organic production and commercialization.
The collaboration with the "Centre de Recherche en Archéologie et Patrimoine" is linked to geoarchaeological and pedological analysis conducted by Dr. Christian Nicosia in the area of Colli Euganei.

Dr. Antonio Castillo Martín, researcher at the Water Institute of Universidad de Granada, collaborates as scientific advisor in the area of hydrogeology for the Sierra Nevada study area. His support has being fundamental to put into value the ecosystemic services provided by the traditional irrigation systems-acequias in the area of Sierra Nevada.
MEMOLA project has collaboration with the Institute for Sustainable Agriculture (Spanish National Research Council) for the design of a water use efficiency model. This collaboration brings together the capabilities and expertise necessary to address the proposed target. In addition, the nature and the general orientation of this research institution, focused on the optimization of agricultural resources minimizing environmental degradation, connects with MEMOLA final goals, allowing the enrichment of the collaborative research network and broadening its impact worldwide.

The IISTA, former CEAMA, is a research center focused in Sierra Nevada developing their work in several areas, such as atmosphere, soil, hydrology and ecology. Their collaboration with the project focuses on the dissemination and publication of research papers based in the four MEMOLA study areas. Also, some people from their staff are doing outreach activities with secondary schools of the Colli Euganei’s area.
The collaboration with UABC is carried out thanks to Dr. Micheline Cariño Olvera´s participation as specialist in Environmental History. Prof. Cariño, has provided her expertise and insight in the analysis of the relationship between culture and nature, looking at Ecosystemic transformations and Landscape.
Dr. Jaime Deza Rivasplata, from UAP is an expert researcher in the role traditional irrigation system in the Andeans shaped mountainous landscape in the Andes. Professor Deza´s work has being of great value, informing the MEMOLA research question by comparing results and methodologies with MEMOLA experts.
Dr. José Cristóbal Carvajal López, lecturer in Islamic Archaeology, collaborates with the project in the study of archaeological ceramics.

Dr.Victor Toledo Manzur and Dr. Narciso Barrera Bassols, from the Ecosystems Research Center at UNAM, collaborate as specialists in ethnoecology by sharing their research regarding the importance of indigenous knowledge in natural resources management for cultural landscape preservation. Prof. Toledo participates as thesis director for anthropology students from Universidad de Granada, developing their research with the MEMOLA project.
Students of the master's program “Agroecology: an approach to rural sustainability” did their internship through the MEMOLA project, by participating in outreach and community development activities in Sierra Nevada, such as the rehabilitation of the traditional irrigation system of Barjas. The PhD Oscar Belvedere, Department of Cultural heritage, historic-archaeological, geographical and socio-anthropological of the University of Palermo, collaborates through a student exchange program and research data sharing of those study areas that are common to the MEMOLA project.
The MEMOLA project and the Department of Archaeology, represented by Dr. Franco Cambi, Associate Professor of Methodologies of archeological research and President of the Degree in Sciences of Archeology, have collaborated through a student exchange program for the archaeological excavation in Monti di Trapani. This collaboration intends to be formalized with a M.O.U that will included archaeological data exchange of the MEMOLA study area.
