Fluvial Dynamics and Hydrology research group (UCO) presented a poster titled "The current and future sociohydrological role of traditional irrigation system in high mountain areas in Southern Spain" in the 7th International Water Resources Management Conferences of ICWRS, organized by The International Association of Hydrological Sciences, Bochum (Germany)

‪IGME‬ ( Geological Survey of Spain) continues with the study of ‪‎spring‬'s flow of "Era Alta" at ‪Cañar‬ (Granada, Spain‬). The record of the spring's flow lets know how to affect the artificial ‪recharge‬ of the ‪aquifer‬ and the ‪‎hydrogeological‬ functions, that will take place up the spring.

Fluvial Dynamics and Hydrology research group (University of Cordoba) presented a poster titled "Monitoring the hydrological regime in snow areas in Mediterranean regions: the Sierra Nevada case (Spain)" in the EO for Water Cycle Science Conference organised by the European Space Agency (esa), Frascati (Italy)

Marta Saenz de Rodrigañez, student of the Environmental Hydraulics: Integrated Watershed Management, presented her master thesis on  "Water circulation capacity of the Barjas traditional irrigation system (Cañar). Potencial impact at local scale", carried out within the  MEMOLA project. Congratulations!

Eva Gibaja García, ‪environmental‬ student, presented her master thesis on "How much scientist can be traditional knowledge? The water managers of ‪Sierra Nevada‬", carried out within the MEMOLA project. Congratulations!

Ramón, grower of Cáñar, teaches us how to measure the amount of rain with a ‪pluviometer‬. This instrument serves to gather and measure the amount of liquid precipitation over a set period of time in ‪Cáñar‬  (Granada).

Several members of Fluvial Dynamics and Hydrology research group took different measurements of flow, relief and channel bed properties of the Barjas traditional irrigation system, to assess its hydrological properties and model its operation.
